Avoid logos/pictures or large writing on tops
(especially for the Dad's and boys).

Avoid all looking the same, eg. everyone wearing jeans and white shirts. 

Mamas, try not to accessorise with jewellery too much, simple is usually best. 

Dads, please don’t wear watches as they are usually quite shiny or bulky and can take away from the photo. 

Dads, try not to choose a shirt that looks to ‘business like,’ a T-Shirt would be better than a business looking shirt. 

Linens, textures, lace, petite pattern and softer pastel tones photograph beautifully. 

For the ladies, dresses always look lovely because they create a sense of movement. Don't feel like you have to wear a dress though, jeans and a t-shirt or blouse also look lovely too! 

I tend to think more neutral muted colour tones work best but also don't shy away from pops of colour if you like that.

If the location we are going to is appropriate (like a beach or in your home) then bare feet is the way to go!

If your child wears a nappy that could be visible (for ex. under a girls dress) then a nappy cover is ideal so we don't see the nappy in the photo.
